A very grateful thank you to you all for your prayers and generous practical assistance to our family, as we care and support our brother James, during this precious time.

Do you have a spare room for a refugee?
In line with the message of Social Justice Sunday and the ever increasing number of people seeking refuge throughout the world, our Parish is asking if anyone in our community has a spare room that they would like to rent out to a refugee or perhaps you know someone who has a spare room who might be interested. If you can help with this initiative please contact John Hill on 0411 315 533 or email him on firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are hoping to enrich all our liturgies by involving as many of our parishioners in various ministries. We are appealing for people to volunteer to be readers, narrators, special ministers of the Eucharist and the music ministry.
As you are aware after many years of faithful service leading the music in our parish Frank Reid is retiring from his role due to health concerns. We need someone to lead and guide the musicians and choir at the Sunday morning mass and are also looking for any musicians or singers who can help provide music at the other parish masses.
We will provide training and support for all those involved in the liturgies so please feel free to offer your services in whatever way you can – our parish community will be strengthened and enriched if we can all contribute some of our time and talents.
Please put your name on the sheet at the back of the church or speak to Fr Alo or members of the liturgy core group if you would like to be involved.
Today in the Archdiocese of Sydney we are celebrating Respect Life Sunday. This year we are focusing upon the Christian experience of bereavement and grief, following the death of a loved one. A brochure on this them, Life is Changed, Not Ended: Bereavement and Grief in the Catholic Tradition has been distributed to Sydney Parishes. Please take one home to read and to pass on to others.
This week The Journey includes a variety of inputs from Sr Hilda Scott OSB Wisdom from the Abbey; Trish McCarthy, Milk and Honey; Bruce Downes The Catholic Guy and Francine and Byron Pirola from Smart Loving. Add to that some great music and interviews with people doing amazing things right around the globe and you’ve got a show that is all about faith, hope love and life. Go to www.jcr.org.au or www.itunes.jcr.org.au where you can listen anytime and subscribe to weekly shows by email.
